Registered Manager

Location:Walsall, WS2
Salary:£40K - £47.5K per annum, DOE
Contract:Full time, Permanent

Do you have the skills to lead and develop an informed, experienced and knowledgeable team of Care workers, who with you at the helm, will provide a family style home for vulnerable young people, who may have already faced significant trauma in their earlyyears and who need the care and stability of a dedicated, homely team who will nurture and safeguard them into adulthood?

As one of Registered Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Promoting therapeutic care, practising NVR techniques as a way of caring for our young people.
  • Promote the development of a stimulating and creative environment which enriches the lives of young people in our care.
  • Providing continual supervision and support to your team
  • promoting learning and development and opportunities to enhance our policies, procedures and best practice. Planning the future development our employees and service provision
  • HR compliance, training, payroll, and ensuring the home and team remain compliant with all Health and Safety practices in the workplace.

In order to be successful as our Registered Manager you should have:

  • Proven track record in leadership and relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Two years’ experience, within the past five years, working in Children's Residential Care
  • One years' experience, within the past five years, leading or supervising employees in a care home environment
  • Level 3/4 Children and Young People Practitioner Qualification (England) and Level 5 Leadership and Management
  • A consistent and professional manner
  • Highly responsible and accountable when it comes to Safeguarding our children and young people
  • Proficient IT skills and experienced in using Microsoft packages
  • Budgetary / financial experience
  • Fully conversant with regulatory bodies, guidelines
  • In depth knowledge of regulatory reports
  • A current full driver's license.

It would be great if you have:

  • Previous, recent experience working as a Registered Manager in residential childcare setting.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in promoting Therapeutic / NVR practices in the context of young people.
  • Train the trainer qualification
  • PACE, NVR, Price Training, Team Teach qualification
  • Appraisal / Supervisory experience
