The Vodafone Mobile Private Network (MPN) portfolio is a newly established business area that aims to meet the operation technology (OT) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) digitisation needs of new and evolving business verticals supporting their Industry 4.0 and SCM 4.0 targets. This business area is targeting new addressable revenue with double-digit growth year-on-year.

In order to fulfil this objective Vodafone Business Platform and Solutions require a MPN Integration Architect that drive our transformation from TelCo to TechCo. In this role you will be a key part of our Platform evolution, creating architectural frameworks that reflect our API first Golden Rule. In this role you will need a strong Enterprise Architecture background coupled with a hunger to deliver cloud native API based solutions and will drive transition architecture planning and alignment with suppliers, API Gateways (Network as a Platform - Vodafone Networks.

As an MPN Integration Architect you´ll be in charge of the following responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and own the integration strategy for Mobile Private Networks in line with our Tech 2025 strategy
  • Drive the implementation of that strategy through a pragmatic and costed series of transition architectures
  • Where appropriate, drive proof of concept/pilot activity to prove an architecture strategy/direction
  • Lifecycle manage the integration architecture, pro-active planning changes and updates where required
  • Work with Senior stakeholders to articulate and ‘sell’ the strategy and execution plan
  • Working collaboratively with central and local Technology stakeholders to ensure that the right technology is in place to support the central and local delivery and operations.
  • Work with the relevant architectural governance boards to evangelise and gain approval for the architecture and direction.
    What you to bring?
  • Experience in designing complex, distributed, secure and scalable architecture solutions within complex organisations
  • Sound experience working with a broad range of architectural patterns (e.g. SOA and microservices, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON) and especially with Apigee as a gateway vendor
  • In-depth knowledge of modern web architecture and Serverless architecture
  • API Management, including B2B integration (Apigee experience would be beneficial)
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
  • In depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS and Azure Stack Edge)
  • Knowledge of database architectures, data modelling, SQL and NoSQL approaches.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth design reviews of large systems
