About the team:
We’re looking for an Event Drafting Technician to champion our Revit and BIM capabilities in Event Operations at Web Summit.
Event Operations is central to creating world-class attendee experience on a global scale. Designers, event coordinators, producers, stage managers, and many others work hand-in-hand to produce all elements from stages and exhibitions to live operations and attendee experience for Web Summit, f.ounders, and Collision.
What you'll achieve at Web Summit:
- You’ll be responsible for the drafting and delivery of site layouts across all our events
- You’ll work closely with event producers and internal team leads in all elements of site requirements to ensure they are being met
- You’ll problem solve competing requests to deliver the best event experience and site utilisation
- You’ll assist in compiling comprehensive site packs, checklists and schedules for each event
- You’ll identify areas of improvement, continuously improving every part of the site design process, BIM modelling and data utilisation
- You’ll drive innovation, manage change and create the best event BIM modelling while ensuring site and data accuracies are at the highest level
Who you are:
- A very proficient CAD technician on Autodesk Revit with professional experience of BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- Your attention to detail is exceptional
- You’ve good working knowledge around technical construction requirements and have excellent drawing management protocols
- You are self-motivated, enthusiastic for learning and enjoy collaboration
- You’re a calm person, who stays level headed under pressure and loves a good challenge
- You’re a problem-solver with the ability to think on your feet, react rapidly to situations, prioritise your workload and implement measures to improve procedures and workflows
- You’re flexible and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to build and maintain long-lasting relationships
Skills and abilities we're looking for:
- Minimum 1-2 years demonstrable Autodesk Revit experience
- Demonstrable BIM (Building Information Modelling) experience desired
- Comfortable working in fast paced environments and amending drawings in tight timeframes and delivering on schedule
- Proven ability to develop and manage several projects concurrently while paying strict attention to detail and without losing focus
- Ambition and the ability to take the initiative to accomplish tasks
- You’re organised and meticulous with strong administrative skills and you are capable of re-prioritising as required
- Experience in spatial design and/ or live events a plus
- Project management experience a plus
