About the team:
We’re looking for an experienced Network support Engineer to join the Engineering team in WebSummit. We are at the frontline of all on-site technology, providing systems and products with exceptional reliability, connectivity and functionality for over 100,000+ attendees.

What you’ll achieve at Web Summit:

  • You’ll work within our ICT and Platform team, focusing on networking requirements for our attendees.
  • You’ll work closely with the team lead to build out complex, scalable and highly robust networking solutions.
  • You’ll work with our partners and exhibitors, understanding their networking needs, and rolling out these successful solutions.
  • You’ll coordinate with multiple internal teams such as partner success and live events, project managing networking solutions and delivery.
  • You’ll respond to last minute change requests and troubleshoot issues that occur during and in the lead up to the event.
  • You’ll create and improve KPIs, metrics, and other frameworks around events networking.

Skills and abilities we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years working in a networking role
  • Well-rounded knowledge of Networks and Infrastructure.
  • Cisco Network Certification (Cisco CCNA/NP, CCDA/DP) and LAN/WAN/SAN architecture experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced network technology experience
  • Intermediate understanding of information security architecture
  • Project management skills and ability to manage information project delivery
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and to set deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills essential
  • Ability to work with external vendors and service providers
  • Experience and interest in a variety of technology areas
  • Strong understanding of technologies outside of networking ideal
