About the job
Your Main Activities Are

  • Management of operations in the booking systems
  • Follow-up of client billing and reporting
  • Reconciliation of positions between front office and booking systems
  • Calculation, explanation and analysis of the daily profits/losses including reconciliation with financial accounting results
  • Management of the referential data
  • Participate in Follow-the-Sun handoff from Europe
  • The analyst/associate will be allocated to one of the areas of operation, high-level described below, although to be cross-trained end-to-end at one point of his/her mandate
    Funding
  • Support the firm’s inventory management goals by facilitating the efficient use of securities in triparty relationships
  • Support triparty and bilateral repo trade cash settlement and interest payments
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the settlement flow of securities and cash between BNP entities in the arranged financing platform
  • Monitor the flow of cash into and out of the bank’s various accounts, ensuring that the GMAT team understands the funding needs, and cash is efficiently used
  • Reconciliation of cash balances in suspense accounts, wash accounts and firm borrow/loan accounts
  • Systems input and processing
  • Report analysis
  • Requires fundamental understanding of securities industry as it relates to the following:

  • SWIFT
  • Broadridge BPS back office system
  • Depository and NOSTRO account reconciliation
    International Settlements
  • Daily settlement of equities and fixed income securities settling in international markets
  • Address and resolve all unmatched trades
  • Process cross border movements and balance order settlements
  • Monitor fails and request borrows as needed
  • Analysis of funding needs and movement of cash between PB and ALM to meet needs and ensure the most efficient use of cash
  • Process free receive and deliveries
  • Monitor all daily reports
  • Monitor segregation deficits and take appropriate action to resolve
  • Monitor transactions requiring static data setup and work with referential to ensure proper setup
  • Work with front office to facilitate the setup of passenger accounts in fully disclosed markets
