Key Outputs
- Provide professional support and advice to the Senior Management Team and Staff on Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality matters.
- Identify and develop a company health safety, environmental and quality plan.
- Provide an assurance and audit role in the company.
- Assist staff and contractors in respect of compliance with relevant legislation, client standards and contractual arrangement.
- Produce SHEQ procedures, policies including performance reports.
- Maintained OHSAS 18001
- Responsible for reviewing accident and incident HSEQ reports and investigation
Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
- B. Engineering/ Health and Safety Diploma and NADSM certificate or Occupational Health higher diploma;
- At least 8 years' experience in health and safety management
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Experience of managing and developing staff
- Knowledge on QA systems, best practice management and ISO requirements
- Computer literate (Sound knowledge of MS office)
- Drivers licence - Code B; member of relevant professional institute;
- Attention to detail, Analytical ability, Judgement and decision-making
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Assertiveness, Effective interpersonal relationship
- Investigative orientation (probing / information seeking)
