Goods in Warehouse Operative

We are currently looking for a Goods In Warehouse Operative with a Counterbalance Forklift License to join our team in Savva’s House, Renwick Road, Barking IG11 0SH!

Hours of Work: 6 days a week - Sunday to Friday (Saturday off) The shifts are from 9am until finish (this is between 7pm and 10pm)

Salary: £11.00 per hour

The purpose of the role is to handle, check, label and store raw fresh produce for production either manually or using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck. The Warehouse conditions will be chilled and wet, and the operative must be able to stand, bend and liftfor an extended period of time, whilst working independently and also as part of a team. Other responsibilities include cleaning and disposing of packaging in the warehouse & prep areas, and they may also fulfil other duties as assigned.

Goods In Warehouse Operative Duties:

• Morning goods-in checks, counting & quality checks of products
• Evening stock take
• Stock rotation
• Physically demanding and fast paced environment
• Manual handling, place goods in their respective locations
• Knowledge of fresh fruit & veg preferred
• Daily cleaning of fridges and work area
• Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the Warehouse
• Assist in minimizing specific areas of waste, maximizing service, productivity and always providing availability of products
• Ensure all stock is used in accordance with the Company Stock rotation process
• Always adhere to The Company Policies and Procedures
• To report any shorts or damaged products
• Work as trained whilst adhering to health and safety regulations
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Participate in required on-site training.

Goods In Warehouse Operative Requirements:

• Counterbalance Forklift License
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills preferred
• Flexible team player
• High levels of accuracy
• Attention to detail
• Manual Handling
• Comfortable working in an ambient environment
• Produce handling experience
• Familiarity with warehouse environment.
