Opportunity
The Adolescent & Youth Lead will be based in Cairo, Egypt and will report to the Deputy Chief of Party. The position is contingent upon project award to Abt Associates.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Support the design and implementation of the project's adolescent and youth strategy and activities related to IR 2.
- Pr ovide cross-cutting management across all three objective areas in identifying, developing, implementing, and evaluating issues related to adolescents and youth.
- Participate in and contribute to external technical working groups on issues related to adolescents and youth.
- Develop innovative approaches to advancing adolescent and youth strategies.
- Provide ongoing technical support for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs with youth-focused outcomes.
- Provide support to the Deputy Chief of Party to track and report adolescent and youth indicators and disaggregate data by these technical characteristics to analyze results.
- Review and provide technical feedback on results and project reports to donors to ensure quality and full compliance with youth policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree (Master's preferred) in public health, sociology, youth dynamics/studies, international development, or a similar field and at least 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in adolescent and youth inclusion with experience integrating adolescent and youth components in family planning activities, differential adolescent and youth impacts of laws, policies and regulations, or similar framework.
- Prior experience integrating adolescent and youth components throughout strategic plans, workplans, and/or activity plans for FP topics.
- Relevant work experience with adolescent and youth interventions, preferably in a USAID context.
- Preferred experience working on USAID-funded projects and knowledge of U.S. government regulations.
- Experience working in Egypt and/or the broader MENA region.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Arabic are required.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree + Five years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree + Three years of relevant experience, or PhD- # _LI-SM1
