Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a pure truck manufacturer to offering sustainable and complete transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation and we have embarked on a stimulating and challenging journey of change to contribute to the development of Scania's business. Part of this change means making the CAD/vPDM Value Creation Team (VCT) the enabler we must be for Scania to achieve its long-term goals.

The CAD/vPDM VCT is responsible for delivering CAD & vPDM solutions for Scania and support the business regarding processes, methods and IT tools in connection to the CAD/vPDM for the digital product description. We have exiting challenges ahead of us, both enabling the Scania sustainability journey, the global focus as well as changing our current IT platform.

The CAD/vPDM management group is a joint group of R&D and IT managers. The CAD/vPDM VCT are led jointly by two Senior Managers, one from R&D and one from IT, where we are looking for the senior manager on the IT side.

Responsibilities of the role
Your role as a Senior Manager includes to involve, develop and support the group managers and employees within the section/VCT by practicing a servant leadership.

You create and maintain a common strategy together with your colleagues within IT and business, inspiring the whole VCT to move in the right direction.

Together within the VCT you develop the way of working in your joint value stream using an agile mindset enabling the teams to deliver business value to our end users even faster and with high quality. Furthermore, you have courage to challenge existing ways of working and you are creative in how you propose trying these ideas out.

You will play an important and active role in the Product Development IT department management team as well as in the joint management team together with business.

You understand that knowledge is crucial for our business and thus you continuously increase your own knowledge while creating a climate where the employees can increase and nourish their competence.

You have an IT education at university level and/or equivalent experience which has given you the ability to understand the potential in software and data. You have a strong commitment to our mission to support the business with superior IT solutions.

You understand modern software development and the organisational culture that is needed to be successful in this area today.
