We are looking for an experienced Transportation Manager to be responsible for overseeing the transportation-related activities of our company. You will be managing staff that includes assisting with transportation activities such as dispatching, routing, and tracking. Transportation managers must also ensure that staff members comply with safety rules and regulations.
Job Function: (Includes but not limited to)
- Directing activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of all types of transportation means (shipments, vehicles, aircraft, etc.)
- Planning, organizing, and managing staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards.
- Oversees the distribution and transportation of goods from the manufacturer to the consumer.
- Scheduling daily and weekly routes.
- Complying with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations.
- Controlling documents (including certifications) and sites generally.
- Conducting regular safety audits on equipment, including arranging repairs and routine maintenance of transportation vehicles.
- Monitor and report on transportation costs.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager.
- Solid knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics.
- English and Arabic speaking is a MUST.
- Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations.
- Excellent Managerial skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Preferably, a bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
