Role:Video Editor
Description:
WildAid is looking for a creative editor for a multi-episode children’s TV show. The editor will need to work independently with their own edit suite, while also collaborating with WildAid team members in Nigeria and the US.
Timeline:
To start immediately. The initial contract will be for three months with the possibility of a longer term contract.
Salary:Negotiable
Key Competencies & Ideal Profi le
We seek a person with experience of editing longer form (30 minutes) episodes for television.
Experience with kid’s TV programming would be advantageous. Knowledge of and a passion for wildlife conservation and related issues would be beneficial. This individual will be inspired by the opportunity to play a pivotal role in WildAid’s efforts to end the illegal wildlife trade, by editing a show that educates and inspires the younger generation.
Desired Qualification and Skills
- A Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years' experience in a post-production role
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Knowledge of video compression codecs
- Strong media management skills
- Motion graphics skills
- Colour grading experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
