Position Purpose:_**

POSITIONS WILL BE BASED IN THE FOLLOWING CORRIDORS:
1. North Corridor

1. North East Corridor

2. Central Corridor

3. Cape Corridor

4. Container Corridor

The purpose of this position is to drive implementation of the sourcing strategy to achieve and exceed agreed service levels

for procurement of goods and services, compile procurement plans and formulate strategy and tactics to ensure successful

implementation and to support continuous improvement methodologies by seeking out efficient business solutions to improve

processes in support of overall business strategy.

Position outputs:_**

1.Sourcing Strategy
- Drive implementation of the sourcing strategy to achieve and exceed agreed service levels for procurement of goods and

services

• Compile procurement plans and formulate strategy and tactics to ensure successful implementation
• Supports continuous improvement by seeking out efficient business solutions to improve processes in support of overall

business strategy
- Identify potential bottlenecks in service delivery and formulate plans to manage potential crisis

1. Knowledge Transfer

2. Conduct training and awareness sessions in all applicable internal and external policies that impact on business

3. Monitoring and Management of Policy Adherence

4. Ensure optimal execution of processes for the Expediting, Contract, Administration, Supplier Data - Management and

Management Reporting functional areas
- Monitor and act on market developments and price escalation across all purchases

1. Supplier Relations
2. Structure and maintain supplier relationships
3. Manages interactions with key suppliers and resolve disputes surrounding operational issues such as ordering, delivery

times and invoice payment Negotiate suitable supply contracts from local and overseas markets

• Negotiates and confirms service levels and KPI's with customers
• Negotiating favourable terms and contracts for the procurement of good, services and supplies
• Negotiating and managing contracts and relationships with vendors (Legal and contractual compliance)

3. Procure all materials within targeted costs and achieve cost improvements

8. Conduct supplier business review meetings and assist with supplier assessment in conjunction with the Supplier Approval

3. Manages Procurement team's KPI's by setting and monitoring performance standards, conducting annual reviews with all

buyers and assuming mentoring role

Qualifications & Experience:_**

a. National Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
b.MCIPS will be advantage
c. Minimum 8 years' experience in Procurement role Management related work in a Supply chain environment of which at
least 3 years at managerial level.

Advantageous:

• Knowledge of relevant legislation that impact role i.e. Procurement legislation (PPPFA & PFMA) and basic Contract Law
