TRANSFORMATION LEAD

The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
Job purpose
Support the business to integrate the full spectrum of the transformation agenda which includes:
- Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) principles into our ways of work with the short-term focus will be on developing and executing a B-BBEE program within the J&J Consumer Business.
- Employment Equity, through oversight of the activities of the Employment Equity Committee and ensuring business critical Employment Equity compliance submissions meet deadlines and to ensure Employment Equity compliance requirements are met.
- Diversity Equity & Inclusion, by playing a key role in the various forums and driving DE&I objectives.
The main duties and responsibilities of the position are:
Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment:
- Optimize the company’s BBBEE plan
- Flawless execution of the plan, driving accountability within each pillar
- Coordinate the annual BBBEE audit for the company
- Train management and employees on the BBBEE codes
- Capture, analyze and monitor the Company’s results against the BBBEE targets
- Conduct audits of business units to confirm accuracy of information
- Inform management of the potential effects the changes in codes and calculation will have
- Meet with the five pillar stakeholders to plan the projects and actions for each pillar to contribute to the scorecard
- Hold all pillar stakeholders accountable for their required contributions
- Report on B-BBEE performance and monitor performance of the scorecard
- Implement effective communication strategy to promote B-BBEE across our business
- Prepare the business for any pending changes that could pose a risk to the Consumer Health business by advising, guidance and make presentations to the Statutory Board
- Considering constant amendments to the B-BBEE Codes of Good practice, on behalf of Consumer Health, prepare and draft commentary on draft regulatory requirements pertaining to B-BBEE legislation
- Project Management of Equity Equivalent Investment Program for Consumer Health (when implemented)
- Developing, implementing, coordinating, reviewing, evaluating, and improving B-BBEE level through organizational sustainable activities and initiatives
- Successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to delivery
- Provide status reporting of scorecard regarding risks and issues, communicating across leadership
- Interacting with senior management for reporting
Employment Equity:
- Providing direction and explanations concerning Employment Equity, delegating authority as required
- Monitoring Employment Equity Committee project progress, objectives, and costs against the established schedule
- Identifying Employment Equity compliance risks and, ensuring necessary corrective measures are implemented
- Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all Employment Equity related compliance
- Provide support and oversight of Employment Equity related projects to ensure objectives are met
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate stakeholders
- Manage Employment Equity compliance risks to mitigate impact of fines and penalties
- Setting explicit guidelines concerning Employment Equity decision-making
Diversity Equity and Inclusion:
- Implement initiatives that support an inclusive working environment, accelerating education programmes & transformation directives
- Report on project success criteria results, metrics, and deployment management activities
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence in support of DE&I
- Reviewing the business workplace, policies, and procedures, ensuring that these are all inclusive
- Advising on diversity and inclusion issues and creating programmes, training, and values around this
- Organizing the disability services and corresponding affected areas i.e., recruitment
- Supporting and guiding the Talent Acquisition team to help create a brand that appeals to diverse applicants and removes bias
- Identifying internal trends and recognizing best practice which will increase diversity among the workforce.
- Maintaining relationships with diversity related business partners, with the intention of working together and improving DE&I
Qualifications
We’d love to hear from YOU, if you have**:
- Minimum 3-5 years BBBEE experience as a Consultant/ Advisor.
- Strong experience and understanding of the BBBEE codes and the Employment Equity Act as well as tangible experience dealing with the BBBEE Commission
- Accounting / Business Degree.
- Carries out duties in compliance with all country regulations and guidelines.
