Warehouse Associate

A. Job Purpose: To be responsible for processing purchase orders, receive deliveries and ensure accuracy and reconciliation of stock.

B. Position Reporting: Logistics cum Warehouse In-charge

C. Academic Background:Graduation from a recognized University. Preferably Commerce background (at least with the basic knowledge of accounting terms and concepts in order to work on sales/purchase/freight invoices, returns, credit/debit notes etc. for logistics)

D. Key Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as a Store keeper/warehouse assistant in the retail industry. Must be computer literate and prior experience in Oracle/Tally for logistics and warehouse management, would be advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

E. Roles & Responsibilities:
Operational Dimensions & Technical Competencies:

• Processing purchase orders and receiving deliveries. Reconcile the Delivery notes with purchase orders.
• Organizing stock on shelves
• Place stock in designated areas for ongoing projects.
• Monthly stock take and reconciliation of stock.
• Check/report of damaged items and returns
• Entering stock items in the system and allocating them to the respective stores
• Providing ideas for more efficient stock management
• To involve in the physical warehouse activities when needed
• Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
• The job of a storekeeper requires some physical labor, so it is vital that he can lift upto 20-25kgs unaided
• Applicants are required to have some computer skills to work with computerized inventory system and data entry skills to update the inventory control system
• He need great written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with others and maintain appropriate store records
• Responsible for packing, pricing, labeling, and returning supplies
• Responsible for stock rotation and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
• Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders
• Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
• Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns

Salary: AED3,200.00 - AED3,500.00 per month

Experience:

• Warehouse cum Logistics: 2 years (required)
• Baby retail company: 1 year (required)
