Job Purpose:
The Flight Dispatch & EFB role will issue operational and analysis fuel flight plans with mandatory supporting documentation, file ATS flight plans and issue route briefings as well as provide tactical in-flight support.
The incumbent of this role will establish, monitor and maintain ground to air communication for all Airline airborne aircrafts operating to various destinations around the world.
Lastly, as part of the Flight Dispatch team, the role will be required to support the optimization of the safe operational function whilst ensuring all communication is facilitated to promote on time performance.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Demonstrates an understanding of the departmental strategy and plan relevant to own work outputs
- Implements department strategy within own area of responsibility
- Provides recommendations to support the implementation of the departmental strategy and plan

- Prepare and compile analysis and operational flight plans
- Calculate maximum and minimum fuel requirements as well as maximum permissible payloads per flight
- Prepare and provide meteorological and briefing data
- Disseminate fuel and weight data
- File ATC flight plans
- Action schedule changes
- Ensure tactical in-flight support
- System and /or equipment failure
- Brief flight deck crew
- Provide Electronic Flight Bag support functions to the crew
- Demonstrates an understanding of company policies and processes relevant to people management

Qualifications & Experience:
- A 3-year Diploma in a relevant field at NQF level 6 and/or 4 years’ experience in a Flight Dispatch environment
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of the Airline operations, and that of its service suppliers, pertaining to on-time performance
- Knowledge of aircraft types / configurations
- Communication skills (Advanced English proficiency)
