Host/hostess

Toronto Yachts is looking to hire host/hostesses with a variety of different charter experiences for any occasion, whether it’s a family & friends outing, a birthday or bachelor/bachelorette celebration, or a corporate event.

About the Opportunity

While being a host or hostess might seem like an easy job, people in this position are often the first and last thing clients see when attending the yacht and therefore are required to be friendly, outgoing, helpful, and warm. Duties include:

• Greeting passengers as they board and disembark, while providing safety info about the yacht
• Boat prep (cleaning of boat prior to departure)
• Help tie the ropes on departure and arrival
• Help passengers get comfortable and familiar with the yacht
• Serving/ customer service - Answering questions and helping guests with small tasks
• Help keep the yacht neat and tidy
• Inventory
• End of day duties - cleaning, organizing, stock, garbage removal, etc.

• Prepared to wear our uniform perfectly with pride including impeccable personal grooming
• At least 18 years of age
• Available during irregular working hours (mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays) as a highly flexible work schedule is part of the job
• Healthy
• MUST hold a valid and current Smart Serve
• Prior boating experience is an asset

Salary: $25.00 per hour
