Retail Shop Assistant

Shop Assistant Responsibilities:

• Receiving, processing, and organizing retail shop stock and deliveries accordingly.
• Restocking depleted or low shop items and ensuring that the sales floor is organized according.
• Assisting customers in locating desired shop items.
• Performing regular price audits to identify and correct price discrepancies.
• Addressing and resolving customers complaints in a professional manner.
• Processing customer payments using the shop's Point of Sale (Pastel Partner) system.
• Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations as needed.
• Monthly stock take.
• Ad hoc duties

Shop Assistant Requirements:

• The ability to use Point of Sale (Pastel Partner) software - Non Negotiable:

• High school qualifications.

• Proven retail nursery sales experience.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced nursery environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented
• Knowledge on nursery products is desirable.
• Proficient in speak, writing and reading in Afrikaans & English.
