General practitioners (GPs) treat all common medical conditions and refer patients to hospitals and other medical services for urgent and specialist treatment. They focus on the health of the whole person by combining physical, psychological, and social aspects of care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring patients’ conditions and wellbeing.
- clinical examinations.
- Diagnosis and treatment of illnesses/ailments.
- Minor surgery.
- Carrying out tests to diagnose (eg urine sample testing)
- Health education.
- occasionally providing emergency care to someone who comes in with a life-threatening condition - until further help arrives.
- Inspecting and updating patients' charts.
- Administering medication topically, orally, and via intravenous or intramuscular injections.
- Anticipating and responding to patients' wellness-related questions and concerns.
- Refer patients to specialists for further testing and treatment, if needed.
- Respond to patient's medical/health problems by referring to their history and carrying out diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate
- Supervise and train medical staff.
- Work with other physicians and support staff as a team in order to collaborate on diagnoses and perform procedures such as wound suturing.
Must have OT experience.

Experience:
- General Practitioner: 3 years (preferred)
License/Certification:
- Must have DHA eligibility or DHA license (preferred)
