Brief Job Description

As project manager, your job will be required to coordinate people and processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person between management and/or installation teams, contractors. Both on and off site. The majority of the projects that you will be responsible will around Renewable Energy and Back-Up Solutions.

Duties

The project manager responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.

Requirements:
Project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis. Should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You also need to be a team player, have a problem-solving attitude, self-motivated and disciplined. Must be willing and able to travel.

Skills Sets Required (Minimum)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 5 years’ experience in project management
  • Secondary Qualification in project management (Degree, Diploma, Certificate)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Technical back ground in Electrical/Renewable will be preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Attend on and off site meetings
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports to management
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Assist where and when needed

  • Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Diploma (preferred)

Experience:

  • Project management: 5 years (required)
