Full Time Physiotherapy Assistant

Bruce County Chiropractic and Rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary clinic consisting of physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, and naturopathic practitioners. At Bruce County Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Center we employ a patient centered approach to treatment with the aim of returning patients to optimal functional as quickly as possible.

Our clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions and disorders relating to the skeletal, nervous, and muscular systems. We are currently looking for a physiotherapy assistant to join our team.

Job Position: Full Time Physiotherapy Assistant

Hours: 35- 40 per week

Job Description:

  • Implement treatment plans, designed by physiotherapist and chiropractors.
  • Assist patients with their rehabilitation programs and correct any incorrect forms.
  • Prepare rehabilitation programs designed by the chiropractors and physiotherapist for patients.
  • Administer electrotherapy treatments including ultrasound, IFC, tens, and EMS.
  • Administer laser therapy to patients
  • Monitor patients and record necessary information as advised by the chiropractor/physiotherapist.
  • Stock rooms with required supplies.
  • Clean physiotherapy equipment and gym equipment.
  • Assist office administration with tasks that need to be completed
  • Add exercises and stretches to database as required and videotape exercises and stretches as required.

Education: Not required but an asset

Kinesiology Degree or a Diploma in Physiotherapy Assistant

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Port Elgin, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
