Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:
- Start-up of processing plant equipment with main focus the efficient running of intake department.
- Maintenance and following preventative maintenance schedule of all intake equipment.
- Fault finding and immediate reacting to issues.
- Order spares, follow up on orders.
- Daily attending to diverse amount of breakdowns in processing plant.
- Maintaining and implementing 20 keys principles including Health, Safety and Environmental of the department.
- Qualified electrician with proven mechanical experience - (relevant trade test is required)
- A Millwright qualification and experience will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
- Experience and knowledge of PLC's
- Experience of MEYN evisceration equipment will be advantageous
- Experience in large scale food production and processing plant will be advantageous
- Must be computer literate
- Must have own transport
- Initiative and ability to progress in a multi-skilled environment, a willingness to learn as well as personal and professional integrity are key
- Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Fluent in English and a second official language would be an advantage
- Ability to cope under pressure
- Must be prepared to work overtime, shifts and/or standby
