Main Purpose:
Prevent defective product from being produced and/or being sent to a customer by design and maintenance of proper controls and checks. At the same time ensuring that cost of defective produce is reduced constantly.
_Key Performance Areas: _
- Reduce the cost of defective product in the company
- Monitor compliance with C.I. initiatives like DPS, Gatekeepers and Lean Manufacturing
- Ensure Quality Control Plan adherence
- Effective resolution of technical queries
- Stock levels under quarantine (location H.O.L.D and reworks) is at a mínimal.
_Duties and Responsibilities: _
- Conduct APQP: Risk Identification (FMEA)
- Conduct Risk Elimination (Quality Control plan)
- Conduct ISIR approvals and other PPAP functions
- Responsible for Product Yield: Defect Management (Closing; Actions; Scrap; Code Red; Analysis etc)
- Conduct Layered Audits
- Conducting Process audits and Product Audits
- Provide Inspector guidance
- Responsible for Rework Process design
- Ensure monthly reports are compiled and submitted
- Responsible for Problem solving within Quality
- Oracle based Project Management
_Job Requirements: _
- Matric and National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 1-year relevant experience in manufacturing environment
- Excellent skills using MS office (Excel Intermediate level a must)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking ability - problem solving
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
- Deadline driven
- Self-motivated
- Good attention to detail
- Innovative
