We are looking for a qualified waiter or waitress to work at the Hotel Sir Victor in Barcelona; a person who has the patience, personality and perseverance necessary to progress in this position and can improve the culinary experience of hotel guests. We are looking for a person to be part of our F&B team.

Main Responsibilities

• Greeting customers
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about the shared-dining concept, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Prepare tables by setting up silverware and glasses
• Offer menu recommendations upon request
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips
• Communicate order details to the kitchen team
• Serve food and drink orders
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems to your manager
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, menu changes and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties).

Functievereisten:
Experience required:

• Work experience as a Waiter or Waitress
• Experience in hotels and/or events highly valued.
• Experience with cash register and order management systems (a plus)

Requirements:

• The ability to speak both English and Spanish
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Effective active listening and communication skills
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holiday flexibility (mainly, the schedule will be from 15h to 23h).
