Purpose of the Role:

  • The Stock Optimiser will contribute to maximising selling, profit, and customer experience by having the right garments in the right location at the right time to meet customer demand.
  • The role will maintain total overview, forecast, and prioritisation of garment flow, and strategically steer stock to our different depots based on current and projected selling patterns.
  • The role will work cross-functionally, both strategically and operationally, to enable a fast, flexible, and effective country supply chain today and in the future.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Based on current demand/supply patterns, re-steer stock to constantly optimise availability and cost
  • Identify potential transfers and execute moves to balance stock between depots.
  • Support Merchandising with strategy to enable best possible commercial decisions accounting for stock management.
  • Monitor regional oversupply risks, and identify ongoing and upcoming issues together with Merchandising, and take appropriate actions
  • Understand customer behaviour and seasonal impact on demand and act accordingly
  • Support the Stock Optimisation Lead to get an overview of country demand and stock forecasting and set priorities based on total business results
  • Support the Stock Optimisation Lead to set clear strategies for prioritisation of stock to relevant stakeholders
  • Support the Stock Optimisation Lead in the collaboration within demand & supply unit to forecast long term stock transfers on location level to drive total long-term plan
  • Review parameters within replenishment system of core lines to check the correct stock levels are being maintained, suggest changes and action changes.
  • Point of contact for Retail for queries on system and pricing and communicate with Merchandising & Commercial Managers.
  • Communicate and inform Supply Chain - Control Tower regarding transfer queries.

Collaboration

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities
  • Deliver and own accurate business information and direction to peers and senior teams and influence as required
  • Work with teams across the business to gather required numerical data.
  • Positively challenge colleagues and inform and influence decision making

Key Interactions as part of this role:
Reporting to the Stock Optimisation Lead, the Stock Optimiser will work collaboratively across all areas of the Planning & Space function and feed their expertise and insights into the wider business strategy. The Stock Optimiser will also be required to partner closely and collaborate with various functions including Supply Chain, Merchandising (up to Merchandiser level) and the Order Raising team.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:

  • 2/3 Years Retail or Supply Chain Experience
  • Background within Branch Merchandising, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Logistics, Store Operations.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Creative and tenacious with good planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills are a must, with the ability to develop relationships. Maintain effective networks and be results-focused.
  • Ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions & create potential solutions.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate innovative and creative ideas, displaying confidence and strong influencing skills when presenting information to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to work at pace under pressure while focusing on results.
  • Highly collaborative, comfortable reaching out and building relationships with teams across the business.

  • M.S. or bachelor’s degree or similar
