Fantastic new contract opportunity for an experienced Security Engineer / Technical Specialist with strong experience of Splunk required to join this market leading financial services business to help them deliver a range of cutting-edge banking Cyber technologies.
As part of the wider Intelligence & Incident Response team you will be a Splunk Technical Specialist with a strong working knowledge across Cyber Security. You will have an excellent knowledge of Splunk and will ideally be certified to Administrator level.
Skills Required:
- Proven background within Security Engineering and in Threat Engineering.
- A minimum of Splunk Fundamentals 1 and 2.
- Experience creating Splunk rules.
- Experience testing Splunk rules.
- Experience creating technical documentation.
- Ability to interpret use cases and to design new detective controls in Splunk.
- Ability to work with multiple datatypes/formats from varying log sources.
- Management of sensitive data in accordance with best practice.
- Knowledge and experience of creating Apps in Splunk (desirable).
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence (desirable).
- Basic knowledge of Python, HTML or JavaScript (desirable).
