If you desire to be exposed to the underground mining sector, the RUC Mining Cadetship is for you! We’re seeking positive, practical, hardworking, and new to industry people to work in the Raisedrilling division.
What is Raisebore Drilling?
It's used to drill shafts for ventilation, escape rises, and pilot hole reaming for shaft sinking.
How does the Cadetship work?
- The cadetship is a paid, three-month industry introduction and assessment period
- Meals, training, accommodation, and PPE are all paid for
- If you live in Perth it's FIFO on a 2/1 FIFO roster
- You start on $25 per hour and then if you successfully pass the probationary period you climb to $32.50 per hour as a full time probationary offsider
What are the Minimum Prerequisites?
- Permanent Resident of Western Australia
- 18+ years of age
- A valid manual C Class driver's license
- Willing to work underground
- Ability to pass a medical, drug, and alcohol test
Desired but not required qualifications
- A National Police Clearance (within 3 months) or willing to obtain
- Working at Heights Certificate or willing to obtain
- Current First Aid Certificate (within 3 years) or willing to obtain
