Responsible for coordinating the delivery of all materials necessary for the playout of our channels in time for broadcast, carrying out appropriate checks, reports and escalations to resolve issues. Responsible for ensuring legal recordings are created, as well as 'as run' logs and other functions of the playout system. Also responsible for following all the incident management protocols and helping to identify root cause related to all alerts received.
This is an FTC role with a contract length of 6 months, covering the afternoon hours of 12:00 to 21:00.
Role Responsibilities:
- Playout - manage partner managed playout, GFX/file formats etc, SLA tracking & reporting, missing media management
- Will be responsible for working on new or enhancement projects involving any of Operations areas
- Provides communication to business leaderships/operations teams and external partners on status and resolution of reported incidents.
- Monitor and maintain logs of playout services to ensure that SLA’s are achieved and can be reported on as required
- Co-ordinating with Media Engineering to implement business requests for technical changes to playout automation and system systems, which includes project managing the delivery.
- Co-ordinating with Media Engineering to managing new channels launches, migration of channels along with introduction of new services and workflows within MEO.
- Manage reported calls with regards playout systems, assist in the resolution if possible, or escalate where necessary, while undertaking documenting and final resolution of all reported technical issues.
- Manage requests for changes to secondary elements for channels, which will include design, configuration, testing and rollout.
- Communicates with both internal and external contacts at a variety of organizational levels with regards problems, or forthcoming planned activities.
- Continuously review playout operational workflows to ensure maximum efficiency and improvement.
- Define and manage business rules and procedures to ensure timely delivery of content and playlists required for playout operations.
- Provide technical assistance to internal external colleagues with regards playlist formats and media delivery specifications.
Required Experience:
- Strong experience related to Broadcast playout operations, Media operations, Digital Media.
- Knowledge related to content creation, media formats, audio format, and media transport methods.
- Good communication skills in English.
