We currently have a vacancy for a Warehouse Supervisor for the Logistics Department. This position will report into the Logistics Manager and his / her nominee.
The main purpose of this position is to supervise the daily warehouse operations by carrying out all planned receipts and dispatches according to set SOP’s, maintaining warehouse discipline and reporting all issue to the Logistics Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities of the position but not limited to:
- Supervision of warehouse staff
- Oversee receiving, movement and storage of stock
- Inventory management
- Planning workflow including picking of orders
- Document control
- Staff training and performance management
- Regular stock counts
- Ensure stock movement out, no obsolete or aging stock
- Manage variances in orders received and dispatched
- Other finance related tasks
Requirements and skills
- Matric and NQF Equivalent
- A Warehouse / Logistics qualification will be advantageous
- Receiving and dispatch experience essential
- Must be able to work shifts and weekends
- Good understanding and experience in the Stores processes, i.e Kanban, J.I.T:
- Manufacturing & Inventory experience
- Syspro experience
- Proficient in Excel
Salary: R25,000.00 per month
