Job Purpose:
To provide a high standard of capacity building and support to all sectors and communities in an
effort to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Ensures that the service provider has the required knowledge,skills/resources an
    understanding and motivation to deliver an effective service.
  • Undertake quality audit activities to measure the quality of communicable disease service
    delivery.
  • Implement the of quality control procedures by educating,training and instituting development
    interventions, which are observable, measurable and testable.
  • Promote prevention,care and support by counseling those infected and affected by a
    communicable disease.
  • Ensure a high standard of quality education that is provided to staff and communities relating
    to communicable disease.
  • Ensure that administrative tasks are well recorded,documented and communicated.
  • Initiate and maintain intersectoral and interdepartmental collaboration with regard to
    communicable diseases service.
  • Ensure that trainees have the means and skills to deliver a quality service and promote
    efficiency and effectiveness of a quality service.
  • Promote the mobilisation and coordination of development projects relating to communicable
    diseases.
  • Facilitate access to communicable disease information,education,communication.
  • Responsible for related assignment and projects.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification in Nursing/Social Work/Psychology or acceptable
    equivalent qualification.
  • Valid motor vehicle drivers licence (Code EB)
  • 3 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS training and Counseling.
  • Computer Literacy

Preferred Requirements:

  • Post graduate qualification in professional counselling and training.
  • 4 Years relevant experience.
