Role Overview

Position overview:

  • You will be part of the industrial function European HSE team in the process safety domain
  • You will support project teams to identify and reduce potential industrial risks, to protect our workers and our stakeholders.
  • You will conduct process safety studies of projects such as risk analysis with Solvay’s method, calculation of the consequences of the scenarios, liaise with R&I for the acquisition of experimental data.
  • You will support european sites and projects for safeguards assessment (SIL, IPL, reliability)
  • You will support european sites regarding Process Safety Management practices and audits
  • You will investigate Process Safety Incidents and write Lesson Learnt Bulletins.

Performance objectives:

  • The main objective of our team is to identify and assess potential dangerous situations related to the industrial processes, and to define adapted improvements to suppress or prevent these situations.
  • You will be part of a team with experts in Process Safety recognized by our peer chemical companies.
  • Our internal Process Safety training program will bring you new skills to support effectively the projects and sites.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry - chemical engineering - HSE
  • More than 5 years working in Process Safety domain for chemical industry

Desired skills:

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge on chemical processes and chemistry
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge Process Safety Management system
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge instrumented safeguard reliability assessment (SIL)
  • Good knowledge of digital tools (eg. Stature, Gensuite, Phast)
  • Understanding of other HSE domains
