Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). PMC also operates strategically-located facilities for crude oil and NGL storage, separates NGL from natural gas and fractionates NGL into pure liquid petroleum gas (LPG) products, including propane and butane.

Responsibilities:
- Leverage existing relationships and actively pursue new customers for Emerging Energy business development.
- Lead, develop, and provide guidance to supporting internal and external resources.
- Identify prospects, help lead negotiations, and prepare agreements with potential customers and counterparties.
- Identify, develop, analyze, and execute commercial-focused projects within Plains’ existing footprint.
- Evaluate project economics, prepare management presentations, and present investment opportunities for updates and approvals.
- Coordinate information with multi-discipline, cross-functional teams comprising internal departments to produce scopes of work, identify commercial risks, and produce economic justification.
- Gather market intelligence and fundamentals to support projects and business opportunities.
- Develop and present forecasts, budgets, and guidance metrics for senior management.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Economics.
- 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry; midstream experience preferred.
- Significant experience and business contacts within the midstream and/or emerging energy sectors.
- Exceptional oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Able to manage all aspects of internal and external business arrangements (technical, financial, contractual, legal, operational, and marketing).
- Able to motivate, organize, and develop others.
- Able to work under tight deadlines and coordinate a team to generate timely, accurate, and effective results.
- Advanced knowledge of pipeline and terminal operations, ideally including knowledge of Plains’ pipeline and NGL business.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on a variety of projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- A problem solver with the ability to find resolutions and make recommendations with proper supporting information.
- Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks.
