The UI/UX Designer role is designed to support our growth by building scalable and delightful products across our array of education brands. With a great foundation, we’re looking for someone to help us pave a new and exciting way forward.

You will work closely with our Product Manager and VP of Software Engineering. If you’re looking for a work environment where creativity and collaboration are encouraged, new ideas are valued and opportunities for development and growth abound, then this is the ideal position for you.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design delightful experiences for our teacher, school, and student users
  • Drive UI/UX best practices throughout the organization by collaborating with various departments through the development process
  • Map out user flows and turn them into low-fidelity wireframe and/or high-fidelity mockups to articulate to stakeholders and work with stakeholders to build a coherent product design vision across platforms
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization (especially developers and product managers) to align scope, design, and roll out
  • Conduct user research and discovery by utilizing methods where deemed appropriate (e.g. usability testing, surveys, interviews), collect data, and synthesize results to make decisions
  • Actively participate in meetings to gather scope requirements required for the product feature at hand
  • Ensure product designs adhere to accessibility guidelines

A little bit about you:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field is preferred (UX design, product design, graphic design)
  • Experience in designing and iterating on websites and mobile apps
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment with developers and product managers
  • Quantitative and user behaviour research and analysis skills
  • Outstanding knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision
  • Understanding of Jira software
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, or equivalent framework
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, in addition, excellent organization and time management skills
  • Laser focused in understanding the customer and users
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and multi-project environment
  • Ready to design, build, measure, iterate and repeat

Bonus Points:

  • Previous experience working, or teaching abroad
  • Out-side-of-work extra-curricular design or product initiatives
  • Basic SEO and Accessibility knowledge
  • Experience with building design systems and UI libraries
