REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous experience in the same or similar position
- Familiar with duties and procedures in the Housekeeping Department
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean all rooms when cleaning units, lounges, restrooms, kitchen, bedrooms
- Clean public areas like corridors, courtyards, balconies, stairways, locker rooms
- Ensure that health, safety and hygiene standards need to be met in all areas
- Empty waste baskets and clean ashtrays
- Transport other trash and waste to disposal areas and place in bins
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment
- Sweep, scrub, wax and polish floors
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaner/machine
- Wash windows, wall, ceilings, woodworks. Wax and polish if necessary
- Hang draperies and dust windows blinds
