Vancouver’s home for all things Country! Located in Vancouver’s entertainment district on Granville Avet, the Yale Saloon presents the country experience. You can expect Southern hospitality, line dancing lessons, mechanical bull riding and boot stompin’ parties! Open Friday and Saturday and the only country bar in the Greater Vancouver Area, the Yale Saloon is home for country fans from near and far.

We are looking for a passionate Host(ess) to join the Yale!

Responsibilities:

  • Report to work in uniform at posted schedule time
  • Greet guests as they enter property
  • Collect cover charge where applicable
  • Point out where washrooms, ATM’s, coat check or other specifics for the property may be (seating locations, mechanical bull etc.)
  • Alert servers of new guests as they arrive
  • Inform guests of any food or drink specials or special events that may be happening
  • Conduct washroom checks to ensure cleanliness and supplies are in stock
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized
  • Effectively communicate with team and offer support as their needs may require
  • Keeps an eye on the floor and anticipates the needs of guests and fellow team members

Keeping Safe:

  • We will provide you with all the personal protective equipment
  • masks, gloves and sanitizers
  • All colleagues will be required to attend a COVID-19 specific Health & Safety training session before attending their first shift
  • Mandatory social distancing measures on our venues

Must Haves:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Commitment to quality guest service and hospitality
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under varying degrees of business
  • Strong team mentality
  • Observant, punctual, well groomed, and able to communicate effectively
  • Available to work a variety of both night and day shifts, weekends and holidays as required
  • Serving It Right an asset, but not required
