About the role

This role requires expertise in both the Diageo Leadership and Marketing functional capabilities in encouraging and influencing collaboration, support and coordination across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups. This would include alignment across key business units (Marketing, Innovation, Central Media, Corporate Relations, Procurement, Legal, Customer Planning and Activation, Sales) Requires a guide understanding of the structure and workings of the Media and Entertainment industry, including Music, Gaming, Film and Television production, relationships and key influences of core Entertainment properties and stakeholder groups (I.e. Studios, Talent Agencies, Producers, Writers) A deep understanding of diverse groups (ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, interest groups etc.) Extensive experience in developing and distributing content in digital and social media, including working with media publishers and social influencers Requires strong experience in the earned advocacy discipline, including coordinated communications strategies, talent and social influencer management, contextual brand integration, project management, crisis communication, media relations and measurement and evaluation Good influencing and negotiation capabilities Experience in directing a team and people management Comprehensive and expert understanding of external environment influencing the media and entertainment industry, including the complexities of the IP/regulatory/political environment across a wide range of jurisdictions/geographies/stakeholders is required

Key outputs & Deliverables:

  • Implementation of breakthrough Influencer, Entertainment and Content marketing partnerships helping to deliver growth for Diageo brands as measured by business performance Help drive recruitment into Diageo brands - as measured by penetration data. Help build awareness and equity of core Diageo brands (across multiple consumer groups) (measured by Brand Health metrics) Increase in contextual brand integrations across TV, Film, Streaming, Digital and Social properties. Support paid media efforts (thereby growing A&P efficiency) Expanded roster of Influencer, Entertainment and Content Partnerships - notably in the Multi-cultural space. Measurable impact with commercial teams in terms of how programs are brought to life in outlet / with our commercial partners. Develop skill set amongst C&P, brand, innovation and commercial teams on Cultural marketing Develop successors for VP role with strong cultural spike.

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

  • relevant Influencer, Entertainment and Content Partnership experience with a record of leading and implementing coordinated programs leveraging Earned Advocacy and Influencer, Entertainment assets, with experience in highly supervised industries Experience in digital media and social communications platforms Consistent record to handle complementary teams and lead and influence collaborators across an organization Excellent written, oral, presentation and communication skills. Experience in contract negotiation and talent, influencer and partnership management Previous experience with campaign planning, budget management and competitive analysis is helpful Spirits proven experience a plus Strong network and understanding of entertainment, culture and partnership marketing Experience in licensing
