Sandoz holds one of the most significant product portfolios in Canada with 700 generic products and 6 biosimilars covering 280 molecules and medicinal ingredients spanning multiple therapeutic areas. The Field Medical manager (FMM) is a field based, hybrid management role that combines national strategic development in alignment with global and local plans for Biosimilars and complex generics specific therapeutic area(s), and regional tactical execution of medical affairs activities across all therapeutic areas. This is a very clinically oriented role.

  • Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Development of the Medical Affairs Strategy at a National level, as the Therapeutic Area lead for a specific therapeutic area(s) and in support of the Patient support program Team, Market Access, and Government Affairs /Policy needs.
  • Creation and implementation of tactical plan regionally
  • KOL and key decision maker professional relationship development and management
  • Ensure accurate dissemination of medical and scientific information on Sandoz’s products to relevant external groups and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to implement collaborative approach to improve patient care management. Proactively, collect, analyze and report medical and scientific insights- Data generation and/or identification of opportunities for post-market activities, patient registries with queries and collaborative patient-oriented projects in alignment with the Medical Affairs Strategies.
  • Internal Support - collaborate cross-functionally to actively support medical and scientific meetings by collecting and interpreting insights / delivering presentations/ results.
  • Provide medical support and contribute to providing medical and scientific training including comprehensive disease state and product training to other Medical Affairs and cross-functional associates as needed

Minimum requirements

  • Health care professional with previous health care management experience: MD, PharmD., pharmacist, PhD, or a mix of extensive experience (3-5 years) of previous health care management experience and in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Self
  • starter and demonstrates proactive strategic thinking, innovative mindset, and ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision in a constantly changing field-based environment in close collaboration with other field colleagues regionally.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills. Effectively contribute to work within multifunctional teams.
  • Customer focused with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills. Proven ability to develop and foster professional credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
