Responsibilities
The Demand Planner contributes to PepsiCo Beverages success by developing accurate sales forecasts. This is accomplished by leveraging data and statistical models to guide the decision making process for the assigned markets in consultation with other key process stakeholders. This role will support the Demand Planningexecution and implementation from our PepisCo Global Template (PGT), improving the way we work!
Key Responsibilities include:
- Generate weekly product forecast
- Utilize demand planning exception reports to identify and fix potential issues
- Perform root cause analysis to bridge gaps between forecast and actuals
- Input historical retail price and exceptions into Prevail system
- Collect, discuss & align on promotional information and volumes from sales, brand and field partners
- Adjust forecasts as necessary to include local market intelligence
- Prepare weekly demand planning call agenda and send out forecast reports for review
- Lead discussions with FOBO partners to understand and incorporate their volumes where necessary
- Assist Demand Manager in other tasks related to improving the overall demand forecast
- Participate in innovation process for identified brand/category and build innovation forecasts where necessary
- Perform master data maintenance to maintain accurate product and customer information
- Perform Prevail data maintenance to improve forecast accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Supply Chain or Statistics preferred
- Superior analytical skills
- Demonstrates leadership behaviour
- Strong Demand Planning system knowledge of SAP, JDA or equivalent planning system
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Sales and/or Operations experience as asset
- Past experience performing Demand and Supply planning and scheduling an asset
- APICS certification an asset
- High proficiency with MS Office products; particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
