Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic *is currently looking for a *Kennel Assistant to join our growing cat dream team! **This is an excellent opportunity for a mature highschool student as a first job in the veterinary industry. ** Shifts would be 5 to 7 pm, 3-5 days per week based on business needs.
Kennel Assistant Duties include: Clean and maintain kennels, animal holding areas, examination and operating rooms. General end of day cleaning duties such as vaccuuming, mopping, taking out garbage, laundry, sweeping leaves or shovelling snow, washing dishes and litter boxes, etc. Unpacking and putting away supply deliveries. Prepare examination or treatment rooms by stocking them with appropriate supplies. Assisting receptionist, veterinary assistants or doctors as needed.
Applicants must be able to follow verbal and written instructions independantly. Should be comfortable with some lifting of supply boxes (up to 40 pounds), using cleaning products, completing physical cleaning tasks, and working with cats.
