Kinesiologist

We are seeking a full-time *Kinesiologist *to work closely with our team of physiotherapists.

Sports Centre Physiotherapy is the leading sports physio clinic on PEI, helping Islanders restore pain-free movement and prevent injury for over 30 years. We are the official physiotherapy clinic for the Holland College Hurricane Athletic program, *the *Summerside Western Capitals and the Charlottetown Islanders. Our clinic’s culture promotes a friendly, caring and helpful atmosphere while providing effective and innovative treatments to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Providing additional client care including managing exercise programs.
• Maintenance, preparation, cleaning and sterilization of medical equipment and supplies.
• Ensuring treatment area cleanliness, including laundry and treatment area organization.
• Opportunity to work with sports teams for taping, concussion baseline testing and other opportunities are available

Education and qualifications:

• Preference is given to those that have completed a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) diploma program or a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree, but it is not essential.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment and handle confidential client information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of various physiotherapy techniques is an asset.
• Strong desire to improve skills to provide the highest quality of care or gain experience towards acceptance into an MSc Physiotherapy program.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• On call
