Reporting to the IT Finance Manager, the role will also be responsible for providing the business with financial guidance and support on key IT projects including recovery models.
The Person:
- B.Com Honours in Accounting.
- Completed SAICA Articles (newly qualified CA (SA) an advantage).
- Min 3 to 5 years experience in an Audit firm.
- Proven technical knowledge of IFRS.
- FMCG and/or Retail experience is beneficial.
The Job:
- Analyse and review IT contractual arrangements to correctly identify and classify revenue and cost in terms of the relevant accounting standards, tax legislation and regulatory standards applicable to the Group.
- Provide financial guidance (including internal control suggestions) to the IT Project teams and Finance Specialist (IT Projects) with best practice regulations, accounting policy and regulatory standards of accounting and tax as source guidance.
- Analyse and monitor capital WIP accounts for correct classification of cost.
- Identify and propose cost recovery models.
- Review SAP WIP and Intangible accounts for cost recovery calculations.
- Co-ordinate and consolidate annual IT budget and forecast, including Capex.
- Identify areas of internal and/or external assurance, legal and other expertise.
- Build and manage trust relationships with key business and third-party stakeholders including any related deliverables.
- Adhoc duties as required by Management.
