Purpose of Position

The Professional Nurse Coordinator is responsible for clinical consultations, diagnosis and treatment. Directly manages outreach teams, clinic sensitisation and up-skilling for the key populations at Gert Sibande Region; MP in collaboration with collaborative partners. Secondarily supports other THC mobile teams in Gert Sibande and other regions with key populations support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in nursing after registration
  • Experience coordinating and/or managing health service delivery projects or research studies
  • Ability to communicate in isiTswana, English and Sotho or another South African language
  • SANC registered as a Professional Nurse
  • NIMART certified and experience in ART Management
  • Valid dispensing Licence
  • Intermediate level computer literacy (Excel)
  • Valid code 08 driver's licence

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to enquiries from internal and external clients about programme activities
  • Conduct regular meetings to discuss progress and address challenges to continuously improve programme implementation.
  • Liaise with public health facilities and other relevant role-players - attending meetings etc.
  • Attend meetings, briefings, debriefing, staff meetings and others as directed
  • Provide primary health care (PHC) services and comprehensive HAST services
  • Work with the Regional Project Coordinator to ensure the implementation of the programme's operational plan
  • Weekly quality assurance cycle for reliable and accurate HIV patient results
  • Consolidate data and other information from the team, prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to M&E Officer and Regional Coordinator
