Purpose of Position
The Professional Nurse Coordinator is responsible for clinical consultations, diagnosis and treatment. Directly manages outreach teams, clinic sensitisation and up-skilling for the key populations at Gert Sibande Region; MP in collaboration with collaborative partners. Secondarily supports other THC mobile teams in Gert Sibande and other regions with key populations support.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in nursing after registration
- Experience coordinating and/or managing health service delivery projects or research studies
- Ability to communicate in isiTswana, English and Sotho or another South African language
- SANC registered as a Professional Nurse
- NIMART certified and experience in ART Management
- Valid dispensing Licence
- Intermediate level computer literacy (Excel)
- Valid code 08 driver's licence
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to enquiries from internal and external clients about programme activities
- Conduct regular meetings to discuss progress and address challenges to continuously improve programme implementation.
- Liaise with public health facilities and other relevant role-players - attending meetings etc.
- Attend meetings, briefings, debriefing, staff meetings and others as directed
- Provide primary health care (PHC) services and comprehensive HAST services
- Work with the Regional Project Coordinator to ensure the implementation of the programme's operational plan
- Weekly quality assurance cycle for reliable and accurate HIV patient results
- Consolidate data and other information from the team, prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to M&E Officer and Regional Coordinator
