Revenue Accounting Supervisor

Overview:
Cedar Fair is seeking a
Revenue Accounting Supervisor at either our
Canada's Wonderland park or
Kings Island. The
*Revenue Accounting Supervisor *assists in leading a team that ensures all functions of Revenue and Accounts Receivable are completed timely, consistently, and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule team members to ensure proper coverage in order to complete daily work requirements. Review and approve timecards in timekeeping system. Assist with the interviewing and hiring of new team members and provide mentoring, training, and encouragement within the department to promote professional, education, and personal growth. Conduct Performance Reviews. Assist the Manager with creating, applying, and maintaining consistency processes and policy between all parks.
  • Review and approve the weekly payback workbook for payment to concessionaires. Review daily sales tax reports for accuracy and find solutions to discrepancies and fix. Review and reconcile all AR and deferred revenue accounts. Review and post journal entries created by staff. Approve requests for new credit and continually assess and monitor customer credit risk.
  • Review and approve new product’s financial characteristics for correct setup. Act as a liaison with our external and internal audit partners in providing them all requested information to satisfy any audits and work with Manager on fixing and possible control failures. Investigate and resolve escalations and work with partners to resolve.
  • Make recommendations on and ensure execution of SOPs across the company. Train staff in all AR/Revenue processes, procedures, and software functions. Ensure adherence to accounting department and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar.
  • 6-8 years’ work-related experience required.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable/Revenue and Accounting Principles. Solid understanding of GAAP. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Micros, DORS, ASAP, Gate Central, Hyperion, JD Edwards, and ATS (Advanced Ticketing System) are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
