About the company:
Due to growth and the expansion of their services, this well-known, large national not-for-profit is seeking a Performance & Industrial Relations Coordinator. Reporting to the General Manager, the primary function of the role is to support wider organisation with Industrial Relations (IR) advice & employment contract enquiries.
This is a hands-on, busy but rewarding, full-time role based in the office Monday - Friday with flexibility of start and finish times. You will be working in their newly refurbished offices & joining a dynamic HR team.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Provide advice and counsel to leaders and managers in relation to employee performance
- Support leaders and managers with the disciplinary process including developing correspondence, meeting scripts and outcome summaries
- Facilitate employee grievance investigation and case management process with escalation to the Head of People and Culture.
- Support the annual Fair Work Uplift process engaging with Finance and Payroll where appropriate.
- Drive the performance review and management program across the organisation, providing findings insights and data for the leadership team.
- Provide EBA negotiations support including, EBA minute taking and distribution, contact with Enterprise Bargaining Representatives and provide EBA interpretation as required.
- Interpret, assist, and advise employees and managers in matters relating to their terms and conditions (including leave entitlements, absence procedures, salary packaging etc.)
- Review and maintain policies relating to internal investigations, equal opportunity, disciplinary matters, grievance and dispute resolution and employee conditions.
- File and update HR records, ensuring documentation and data records are maintained securely and confidentially in HR files.
- Manage/support with ad-hoc People and Culture employee relations and project work.
You will have the following:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources; Business; Management or a related business discipline.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in HR & Industrial Relations
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining highly effective stakeholder relationships
- The ability to exercise judgement while dealing with potential or real problems independently and promptly bringing them to the attention of the General Manager People and Culture.
- Able to demonstrate empathy with the ethos of the organisation.
- Actively recommend improvements to the role or services provided.
- Taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team.
- Keen to learn and grow within a dynamic human resource environment.
