Qualification:
- Diploma in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum three (03) years experience in the position of Field Operators in industrial sector, preferably in oil and gas industries
- Shall have at least two (02) years experience in the Utilities and the operation of Reverse Osmosis Desalination Units.
The Field Operators shall;
- Be capable of communicating in English language.
- Carry out duties involving starting up the plant by lining up valves, starting air compressors, pumps, main diesel generator, emergency diesel engine,
- preparing chemicals for injection/transfer as required, water maker & chlorination units and starting up all utilities system in accordance with authorised procedures.
- Carry out first line maintenance, including filter changes, adjust valve gland packing, replace temperature and pressure indicators, top up lube oil and helifuel & fuel tanks.
- Take various readings and conducts sample testing on water or fuel purity as directed.
- Follow safety regulations and instructions regarding executing work activities, consideration of safety of others within his work party or vicinity.
- Be physically fit to be part of the FMB and/or STP Emergency Response Team
- Be able to operate and continually monitor Reverse Osmosis Desalination Units to ensure that optimum operation is achieved with minimum downtime.
