Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Yard Attendant will work with Procurement to manage safety material inventory levels based on workload forecasts and manage project material stock levels required for contracts. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Daily management and issuing of all field staff equipment and stock needs.
  • Daily organization and management of record filing.
  • Complete equipment and stock audits as required
  • Complete full yard material inventory counts
  • Coordinate and manage testing, certification of tools and safety equipment.
  • Timely return processing of defective or damaged equipment.
  • Identification and reporting of any health & safety issues.
  • Determine inventory to load volumes and ensure supply always exceeds demand.
  • Review all documentation for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Carry out daily shipping/receiving duties as required.
  • Basic housekeeping as required.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Working knowledge at Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Great organization & time management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience is an asset.
  • Independent worker that needs little supervision.
  • Good technicial skills using computer-based technologies and devices.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Lifting and filing experience.
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours when required.
  • Valid Forklift Truck License.
