The Cellar Worker is a key member of the Brewing team and is a great role to start in if you're interested in becoming a Brewer. You will be responsible for monitoring all fermentations including: temperature adjustments, dry hopping, filtration, clarification and ready to drink beverage mixing. You will also be responsible for the cleanliness of the entire cellar including the tank CIP, cleaning the externals of the tank, cellar floor and brew hoses.

Work Schedule...

You must be able to work all of the following shift schedules below (rotates monthly).

  • Morning shift: 6am - 2pm
  • Afternoon shift: 2pm - 10pm
  • Overnight shift: 10pm - 6am

You will...

  • Complete assigned tasks in accordance with company SOP
  • Follow all safety procedures (i.e. wearing harness for heights, safety glasses and other required PPEs)
  • Keep accurate daily production records per company and Federal Requirements
  • Continually maintain all beer production areas and equipment
  • Inform and assist maintenance technicians with equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain a clean working environment
  • Monitor fermentations and ensure they meet set product specification
  • Centrifuge and carbonate beers to required parameters
  • Work with the Quality Assurance Lab Technician to ensure that all beers pass microbiological checks

You have...

  • A passion for craft beer
  • The ability to consistently lift approximately 25 kgs (required)
  • Strong communication skills (required)
  • Experience or education in Brewing (asset)
  • Forklift experience (asset)
  • Experience in a brewery setting including setting up hoses, checking carbonation, using CIP systems or any brewery packaging would be considered an asset
