Office Administrator (On-site in Brantford)

Mott Manufacturing Ltd.-Brantford, Canadá

Purpose:
Provide administrative support to employees and management.

Reports to:
Corporate VP, HR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare documentation (policies, forms, memos)
  • Respond to various employee inquiries in a timely manner with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Conduct orientation
  • Maintain employee personnel and training files
  • Maintain employee management systems
  • Prepare and document employee attendance, counseling and discipline notifications
  • Prepare letters for employees, including transfers, memos, and letters of employment
  • Help organize and participate in social events, such as Retirement parties, Company picnic, Adult and Family Christmas parties, dinners and lunches
  • Complete various weekly, monthly, and yearly reports
  • Support the department projects relating to the business plan or other areas, as required
  • Communicate with both internal and external personnel, including managers, employees, adjudicators, training organizations, benefit providers, Service Canada and social events planners
  • Provide backup and support to the other HR team members
  • Perform other duties as required and as established in Mott policies

Skills & Experience:

  • Diploma in Office Administration
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office administration role, familiarity with human resources and payroll would be an asset
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail is critical with good analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be proactive, multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Has a “can-do” attitude
