Cg Lead Storyboard Revisionist

We are looking for an experienced Lead Storyboard Revisionist to join our team in guiding and mentoring a team of storyboard revisionists for a CG series.




Atomic Cartoons Inc. is an award-winning animation studio with locations in Vancouver's Mt. Pleasant Animation District, Ottawa's Hintonburg neighborhood and LA. Since its inception over 20 years ago, Atomic Cartoons has created and produced numerous 2D and CG animation productions including Princess Power and Last Kids On Earth. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Support the Storyboard Supervisor with assessing the notes from the client and delegating tasks to the revisions artists.
  • Provide guidance to artists on how to hit the quality bar and/or technical issues.
  • Uphold a high level of quality and consistency while making sure revisions are completed quickly and efficiently.
  • Monitor team morale and communicate any concerns to the supervisor and coordinator.
  • Support supervisors with demos and to address common areas for improvement.
  • Process and transfer of notes to the team in Storyboard Pro while supporting an efficient workflow for the artists.
  • Assign and organize the work for the revisions team with the focus on balancing the resources needed for all episodes.
  • Complete tasks within production deadlines while being largely self-directed.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Previous experience working on a CG animated series or feature in a studio environment.
  • Experience working with Toon Boom Storyboard Pro.
  • Previous experience in a lead role is an asset.
  • Strong drawing and illustration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in relevant artistic/technical skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently on a timeline, while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to other Storyboard team members.
  • Currently legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • BC residents preferred.
