Oracle DBA - HYBRID WORKING

One of our biggest customers is looking for an experienced Oracle DBA - HYBRID WORKING - 2 day in the office a week

Role Purpose:
This role is to proactively establish and maintain database deployed products within the business domain encompassing a number of testing (UAT, Integration), production support, disaster recovery and production environments. Working within a small overallIT team alongside external 3rd Party vendors for the provision of mission critical high volume OLTP services through call centre and Internet services.

Knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Experience of Database Backup and Recovery
  • Experience of Load / stress testing
  • Experience of Database and Application Server Performance tuning
  • Experience of significant data migration exercises
  • Experience of monitoring and advising on system security
  • Experience of environment support within database deployed environments
  • Good knowledge of working with software change control systems and change control of technical environments
  • Individuals will be very customer focused and content with working with ambiguity as well as performing day to day systems administration activities.
  • Degree or HND in Information Technology would be desirable but not essential, equivalent experience considered

Technical Skills

Key technical requirements are managing Oracle Databases within Mid-Tier environments on Linux or Unix, specifically:

  • Proven experience of Oracle 12c and 19c databases at both Production and Development/Test Levels
  • Proven technical experience in Oracle OLTP (On-line Transaction Processing) and Data Warehousing environments
  • Proven technical experience of Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Configuration
  • Experience of Oracle Application Server
  • Experience of Oracle Weblogic Server 12c and 14c
  • Experience of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c
  • Experience of Oracle Exadata Database Machine

OR

Key technical requirements are managing SQL Server Database environments, specifically:

  • Proven technical experience in an MS SQL Server Environment at both Production and Development/Test Levels (2012 - 2019)
  • Proven technical experience in SQL Server OLTP (On-line Transaction Processing) and Data Warehousing environments
  • SQL Server Clustering and Configuration
