Job Description & Requirements:
- Read and interpret the structural and architectural contract drawings
- Creates assembly plans and erection plans for commercial, retail and industrial structural steel fabrication projects
- Coordinates project sequencing and basic detailing structural steel and metal job, including drawing template, standard connections, advance bills of material and shop/erection drawing formats
- Detail structural and miscellaneous steel (including link way, columns, beams, canopies, braces, joists, staircase, handrails, metal roof & decking, site steel works and more)
- Preparing drawings for submittal
- Following up on Requests for Information (RFIs) issued to customers pertaining to drawing changes and revisions
- An ability to keep accurate drawing log and document control from creation to completion
- Maintaining the drawing logs as directed by the Project Manager
- Meeting steel shop drawings deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Other duties as assigned
